I feel for the Palestinians (not Hamas) but when other Muslim/Arab countries do business with Israel and "normalize" relations with them (instead of treating them like an apartheid state) how can you expect a pop singer to have higher morals than other Muslim/Arab nations?
The whole "Why should I care when Arabs/Muslims don't" is a lazy cop-out.
First of all it's their governments normalizing relations, not the people. Any sane adult with a minimum of education should know that no government anywhere cares about morals and whatnot, only about their interest. Second of all, the idea that Arabs/Muslims should all care about each other is idiotic, unless you consider that all Arabs/Muslims are the same. Do you also think that all Whites/Christians care about each other? Because then I would invite you to open any history book. Hell, vast majority of Muslims aren't even Arabs, and a good chunk of Arabs aren't Muslims. And anyway it makes no sense because in Arab and Muslim countries where people can actually hold demonstrations there has been tons of mobilisation. So the argument is not only stupid but unbased.
The real question is rather why would anyone set their own morals based on what others do. "Why should I care when X/Y/Z doesn't?" just shows me you have no values, morals nor spine and can't think for yourself.
Targeting Beyonce is a cheap attempt at getting in the spotlight.
I'd get it if she was speaking on behalf of what Israel is doing but the performance is a commercial matter. I doubt these agreements were entered into recently or even by her directly.

A lot of people have blind spots when it comes to certain people/things they like. There will always be incongruities where humans are concerned, because humans aren't perfect. That doesn't me we always have to take the bad faith approach in these conversations. It's why I don't think you should jump to the assumption that they're only signaling.

Again, if governments don't care about morals etc, then why should a pop singer who's entire career is based on getting the maximum amount of people to like and buy your music?
Why should Beyonce be boycotted or targeted for doing what other businesses and governments do (do business with Israel)? She is neither Arab, nor Muslim, nor Palestinian.
