:francis: this is just babble at this point. The line in the sand has been painted. If they are anti-DEI they are definitely anti-equity for black people.
If they are pro DEI there is still a chance even if performative they are trying to promote equity for black people. Which are you choosing?
Basically.

If DEI is nothing then it's even more of an indictment on the companies that publicly want to distance themselves
at this point you could argue "DEI" is more of a dog whistle and signal to certain groups so it's damning if your corporate stance is we're anti-DEI now

DEI is a co-opted cac terminology just like CRT. These people are again fairness and equality in general.

Using corporate lingo to dress it up doesn't change it.

No corporation cares about any social causes. "Corporate citizenship" is just some bullshyt they do for free promo

This. DEI in "cac" terms means jobs being handed out to literally anyone who's black. No qualifications required. Remove the term completely.

Walmart, Amazon, and McDonald's are almost impervious to serious harm because they're the gateway to a wide assortment of low priced and easily accessible goods. McDonald's is damn near interwoven with daily life for your average American from childhood.

The rest are at least semi viable.
If you have to pick go after Target it is the weakest link. Literally their name tells you all you need to know. We just need to fukk over a few and the rest will figure it out.

Amazon at the very least considering getting rid of your prime, or if you have multiple family members cut back to one account of it and just ship to each other.

As for McDonald’s there are other fast food options.

Especially when a business says in the middle of the trump presidency that they are pro-DEI while conservatives and the federal government is pushing Anti-DEI.

IM SURE BLACK PPL
WORKED AT TARGET BEFORE
THE GEORGE FLOYD RIOTS

I agree boycotts having worked since the civil rights era but you’re on the stay and fight wave so this is all you got.

The other option is to move to Africa where most of the businesses are Black owned.

Above the fray.
@RamsayBolton

Good post.

Despite the threat of lawsuits, and backlash from conservative voters, some corporations are standing behind their longstanding and recent diversity measures.

This will be an informative thread if we track and examine how these decisions are made, and by whom.

So you’re saying that last week, all these companies were pro Black because they had DEI programs, and now they’re not?

Can you please tell me why it’s a problem, asking for details and transparency for what they say they’re doing for Black people?

I would like the stats too. All I can say is at my local Costco I see quite a bit of black employees that you see every time over the course of months/years which means they must like the job since they arent quitting. And the manger of the store is a black woman.

Yeah, I think it’s only fair that these companies be transparent when it comes to these programs. I can’t see why anyone would be against that.
