But that's the thing. If you have athletes foot, then you SHOULD be able to smell it and get it cleared up easily.

Right, but my point is if its a condition then how can they be judged the same. I'd judge them on their willingness to get it fixed vs living with it, but personality flaws involving control and disrespect should not be tolerated by anyone who loves themselves. Imo the options are all "bad" but on different levels.
