Seems reasonable to me.
It's not so much about offending people (personally I don't really give enough of a shyt about anything to be offended), it's more that certain posters just derail every thread they post in and make it hard to actually have any real discussion on anything. Besides, the mods are pretty lax, you'd have to try pretty hard to actually get banned.

I understand that. I just don't want them caught up in the wave of race baiting moderation due to complaints of fairness. You see the backlash from banning actual race trolls.

No one gets banned due to their opinion on different topics, at least to my knowledge. They get banned because of their excessive trolling and how forced their race baiting and lack of compassion to others is.
