cause besides doing all his own shyt, he did a lot of shyt for others....he didn't just write songs, he wrote albums for other people...not only write for them, he composed their whole damn albums...from the music, to the lyrics, to the arrangement, to how they should sing it, etc....need an example: morris day and the time....all their shyt for the 1st couple albums was all prince...hell, even rick james knew how talented prince was....when they were on tour together, he stole prince beat machine and used all the beats for his album lol....also, like the other cat said, he can play any instrument and is one of the best guitarist ever...to hear that muthafukka play live is incredible....
as for banning his shyt, he did that cause he wanted some of the money the record company was making off his ass...if anything, he's a prick for not letting harmonix put his music in the rockband games...he should've had his own game like green day...I would play that shyt all the time....
