Prince already sold a lot of records but his sales are about quadruple now espeically with a new generation being introduced to him. With all that said Prince was 100% against his music being on Apple/Itunes yet after he dies it's all over itunes. SMDH.
My thing is how is this happening? Are the people who are left running his estate doing this? See this is why folks don't trust the music industry and why I have never wanted my kids part of the industry.
Wait, was this closet fakkit Prince considered a black man? P
He was going to the ancestors breh. It was his time.Something ain't right![]()
I got Tidal. It's Black owned. He just need to move the company to America and hire nikkas.Prince did a deal and finally won his rights back a few years ago but Warner Bros still have percetages of the rights because they were the parent label to his music. Prince could never win 100% back but the fight was a large share of pencentages. It seems all the Warner Bros era music is on Itunes not the "Symbol" era I could be wrong though. The only thing is Prince didn't have any kids (It was a tradegy that happen to Son after birth) so if there's no will his entire estate goes to the siblings. But he was adamently against Itunes and other streaming sites. Only f*cked with Jay and Tidal.

The thing is Jay brought a White company, he can't turn it black overnight because it was based in sweden. It will take time but he is taking the steps and should bring it to NY for sure. Prince saw the deal and knew he needed to alined with Jay because they were trying to destory it before it even popped off. That's why I was cool with what KanYe did as well with "Pablo". Prince was against "Slave Deals" (10 album type deals, ask your favorite rapper they are still doing them) that these labels have been doing to black aritst forever (Why he wrote slave on his face).
They take our creativity and monetize it only to take a majority of the pie (Profits) and leave the aritst broke. Prince was a trailblazier on taking on labels to the point he litterally became a new artist. People hated on the "Symbol" Era because honesly Definitive Prince was the late 70's-Early 90's Prince. But he still made good music during that time. But now that's he's gone of course Warner Bros is going to cash in but I think Tidal still owns exclusive streaming rights. This was my joint in High School during the Symbol era:
There many reports Prince has over 1,000 unreleased songs in his vault
Prince Estate is about it eat something heavy.
