What a legend. Won't be another for a very long time.
Man....when me and my brother were little, we actually went to a catholic school until sixth grade (Long story short : We aren't catholic and haven't been baptized but the school was good). My dad had an 87 Cutlass Supreme and our mom would drive us to school everyday.
(Not our car, just an image I found on google).
This album came out in 91 and my parents used to bump that shyt HARD. Prince is known for his sexually charged lyrics, but this was some New Jack Swing shyt and he upped that shyt to 1000. Dude was straight nasty on this joint. "GET OFF! TWENTY-THREE POSITIONS IN A ONE NIGHT STAND!/GET OFF! I'LL ONLY CALL YOU AFTER IF YOU SAY I CAN!"
Still...didn't matter...my mom used to bump this shyt loud as fukk. I remember pulling up with the windows down with this shyt blasting and mutha fukkas looking at us like

right back. Look back shyt is funny. Imagine one of the only black families rolling up in a cutlass listening to that....
I dunno..just a memory that popped into my mind when I heard about this.... That's the best thing about music for me...certain songs/albums just take you right to a specific time period....

I'm not an expert on his entire catalog or anything, hell, I probably haven't peeped anything post 2000. Definitely going to be gorging on some Prince for the next week though.

Worked a 12 hour shift last night and I wake up this afternoon to learn Prince has died SMH. Rest in Power Prince.

Had his cassettes, movies on VHS, now I have a stack of cd's from imports to maxi-singles to albums, I'll be jammin it all out this weekend. I remember the 1st CD I bought was Thieve's In The Temple Maxi Single, had the 7-8min version on it!
