I feel like Ali before he got banned >>>>

Ali was also that guy that you couldn't beat twice. You had one chance to beat him, the first time u stepped into the ring with him. He always won the rematches regardless of the outcome of the first, and in frasiers case, rematch 2 and 3.

So Ali from 64-67 and Tyson from 86-88? I'm going with Ali.

Even during Tyson's prime, he had trouble with taller fighters with a reach advantage that actually used it (he managed to beat them, but they took him the distance).

I feel like if Tyson could beat Ali he wouldn't have had a problem beating Evander or Lewis, plus George Foreman had as much power as Tyson.

Tyson didn’t have the heart. Destroy a mentally weaker opponent, but couldn’t handle anyone who wasn’t scared and was gonna make him dig deep and fight. Like Holyfield. Tyson was NEVER in the types of wars Ali was in.

Mike was a puncher so he’d always have that in his favor but if he couldn’t catch Ali with a shot and knock him out early he’d get worked bad by a prime Ali and probabaly knocked out himself.

I stan both fighters, but i feel like Tyson gets the short end of the stick because of how his career ended up playing out. I hope y'all realize Prime Tyson is when he trained under Cus. That Tyson was a machine.

Idk why folks in here are comparing Tyson to Foreman. Only thing they had in common was power but young Tyson was faster, quicker and most of all smarter than Foreman was and had a higher punch output.

This is one of the fights I could never decide who wins. shyt I'm bout to dust off the ps3 and see who wins in Fight Night. It's the closest we'll ever get to an actual fight :manny:
Prime Forman hit harder than Tyson

And Ali was purposely letting Foreman punch him until he tired himself out .... let that sink in

Mike Tyson was fast but Ali was a lot faster

I don't think it's that simple...Foreman's punches were much slower and arcing but more than likely stronger. But the lack of speed was the reason Ali was able to let Foreman swing on him constantly. He always had time to parry or just straight up dodge the blows. Prime Tyson had probably the most dangerous uppercut ever, and it came out instantly. There is no reacting to it, you just eat it and go down. The punches you dont see coming are the ones that fukk you up the most.

So while Foreman might have hit harder in theory, you can argue Tyson had far more dangerous punches.

With that said it could go either way. Prime Tyson never fought anyone with the combination of reach, stamina, and skill of Ali so its a bad matchup. It's very possible that Ali could just kill him on points or straight up knock him out in later rounds.

But at the same time Prime Ali never fought anyone who could match his speed, and had the skill/power that Mike had. It's very possible that Tyson could have just bob and weaved his way through Ali's jab and put him to sleep.

I don't think there is a wrong answer.
