i don’t hate African women … but i ain’t got no love for them - cause they do the most when the topic is about BM specifically ADOS Black American men - they have a great disdain for us & it’s probably cause we don’t holla at them
It doesn't matter if you accept it or not. Race is the classification humans assign to each other based on phenotype and ancestry. There doesn't need to be a genetic basis for it to be real. Money is a social construct, but the effects of having it vs not having it are very real.
I didn't use the phrase racial realist anywhere in my post you did. I think it's incredibly foolish for someone that identifies as black to say race doesn't exist. Black is literally a race.
Most biologists say it's a social construct.
Most anthropologists say it's a social construct.
Most philosophers recognize it as a social construct.
The only people that recognize it is not being a social construct are race realists. If you are conceding on it being a social construct, that is sufficient. But "real", understand that when this topic is approached, we are differentiating between what is subjective and what is objective, the construct of race being subjective, the idea that race stands mind independent of any social constructs, makes it an objective fact, thus "race realism" spawns. It attempts to recognize objective differences between groups on the basis of skin colour, categorizes on the basis, and then attempts to explain differences in IQ, athleticism, agressions, etc. on that basis.
Race has nothing to do with genetics, because if it did, there would be a shyt ton more than what people are familiar with.
But I'm stealing this post from elsewhere:
To what race do these people belong?
1. Malagasy people of Madagascar
2. Melanesians of Papua New Guinea
3. Brazilian boy
4. Semang from Malaysia
5. Aboriginal from Australia
6. Ni-Vanuatu from Vanuatu
But yeah, just throw them all in the black category.
So is race "real" in the sense that people recognize it as an idea? Sure, but race isn't real in the "mind independent" sense, genetics are real in that sense.
