Because you have to get stops eventually. It's a reason why teams with historically great Off and historically bad ďef don't win. You have to have at least decent defense to win when the chips are on the table.

yeah of course your defense can't be bad but offense is still slightly more important

teams with great defenses and bad offense (the reverse) end up being crap
