Well when every habib is trying to get into med school what the hell makes him so special? But keep pretending these non-whites are "down" for the cause. They'll stab you in the back faster than some whites but whatever....you'll see more of this in the future.

Simple. The person/people interviewing weren't "AA" or he never would have done it. All black people don't speak in "ebonics" for starters, how else could he pass for AA without him being noticed?

What wasn't equal with his story? He had the same exact qualifications. So him being was Indian supposed to mean he deserved to be a doctor? He would have more ground to stand on his his qualifications were superior than the black candidate. They probably filled their Indian quota with better candidates.

White people gain admission because they're legacies. Nobody cries about that.

He did go through the interviews and only got into 1 school. Also, one case does not prove that every black person in college did not meet the standards. I scored in the 90th percentile on the GRE and acceptances I got in grad school reflected that. My boyfriend, who is black and is a doctor now, had to apply to med school a few times (and he graduated from a top 20 school with an engineering degree). If being black was all he needed then he wouldn't have had to work at it multiple times.

There are plenty of black masters students at my current (ivy league) university who did not get into a phd this past application cycle (despite their pedigree). It takes more than just being black.

So many problems with the aforementioned

1) Affirmative Action was created to benefit white women in the workplace in the 50s and white women are still the #1 beneficiaries of Affirmative Action

Affirmative action benefits African Americans immensely.

3) This does nothing but add fuel to the fire of that racist white crowd who argue that affirmative action is reverse racism and black people who actually excel in school, post-graduate programs, medical school, and corporate america didn't work hard at all but just used kickbacks and programs to get there.
