Damn that’s wild. I’m not familiar with Haitian politics but who does he have beef with?

Wild. I've read about gang violence in Port au Prince where kidnappings are frequent but that it could reach the presidenr is crazy. Though the President had said he was victim of a coup attempt a couple months ago ?

damn. Inside job?

According to the Miami Herald, the gunmen stormed Moïse's home in a hilltop community of the capital, Port-au-Prince, claiming to be agents of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Videos seen by the Herald showed gunmen telling people at Moïse's home to "put down your weapons. This is DEA." Haitian sources told the Miami newspaper that the assailants were heard speaking English and Spanish, and that they were not DEA agents, but "mercenaries."
Haitian President Jovenel Moïse assassinated in his home

so the president's security supposedly reacted like drug dealers at a stash house, dropping their weapons and security protocols because they heard "This is DEA"? stop

Yeah, that’s very suspicious. Personal guard don’t obey commands of anyone but their president. They’re not gonna be like “Oh, ok it’s DEA”. Unless the president was fooled himself and told them to stand down. Everything is fishy when it comes to Haitian governance and how many hands are in the pot.
