The same concept applies to any black group and their former colonizers. Anyone that really thinks all it would take is some tweets, a few scholarly articles and paperwork about how it would be "the right thing to do" isn't serious about reparations. Various black people throughout the diaspora have been writing about the concept for 100 plus years now. If just some words on a paper was all it took, every formerly enslaved black group would've had their checks a long time ago...

Guyana is a mixed country and unfortunately you can't separate who benefits. I don't know to what extent the Indians suffered as much as brehs did.

Also it should be not with extreme irony that the man ducking this obligation is an Indian leading the UK. The real issue for me is not that they some Indians might get dough it's that they won't fight or advocate with other slave descendants on the same level. There’s people in pretty much all Caribbean countries who are pro monarchy and pro British rule.
