He's got a point about the collegiate level, though.

Barack Obama is Not Pleased | New Republic
he is talking about the Real Sports story of this guy who went to Harvard Law school after his career finished at Brown (or another Ivy league school, I cannot remember). Dude was a lawyer, and really successful, but then he started developing ALS in his early 30s. Now dude has to speak through those eye reader machines.

The point was that this guy has to pay for all the medical expenses himself. He has no pension to fall back on, or NFL healthcare.

Damn, that's sad.

ALS is no joke. O.J. Brigance has it.

I dont think the NFL will be happy but nicca is just stating the obvious :manny:

The only way this CTE shyt can be avoided is if that shyt is changed to FLAG football.

My mom wouldn't let me play in high school and I was pissed about it at the time. Had the coach stop me multiple times whenever I'd see him telling me I needed to be on the team gassing my head up. I look back now though and I'm thankful she wouldn't let me now. My kids will never go anywhere near the football field.

These savages know what they're getting into. Make them sign a waver and let the violence commence. If u.cant stand the violence in football, watch boring azz baseball.

And legalize hgh and peds too. Hell, make pcp and coke available to players too

I'm not wworried about my (future) son in college or the NFL, but there's PLENTY of kids who pay high school football and break their neck or other horriblle injuries that you never hear about.

I don't have kids yet but used to always look forward to being a football mom, I feel the same way now, not sure I'd want my kid competing past the high school level.

This

That's where the steriods and man childs start comin' in

No point in lettin' a kid out there and he's just doin' it for fun

I would want them not to play but I.would delay it as long as possible. There isn't much need for six year olds having helmet to helmet contact.
