My thoughts on Obama havent changed from day 1. I said then I would support him simply because he was black and what he represented but I never had any delusion that he would do anything to address the problem of racism or directly confront the system of white supremacy. But to shyt on him for that is a pointless endeavour that does nothing but pile on to the hate he already gets from the right (and hell most of the so called left now too). If you thought he was really was gonna bring change you are simply naive. He was elected, it was a nice moment and we avoided having Sarah Palin in any position of importance. From there he's just another politician

Exactly, that's why I'm glad the film "Selma" ethered his ass and White Liberals were so mad they sabotaged it's Oscar chances. But "Selma" film did portray the truth about LBJ. He did get things passed but he was DRAGGED there by MLK. He didn't jump at the chance to help black people.

I will agree that maybe he could do more in that arena, although he has spoken on it which no previous president has done. But again, if you have knowledge of the way the government works, you must know that he is alone in almost everything he wants to do. There's this thing called the legislative branch that has a lot to do with what gets passed. Unfortunately, a lot of our "Obama is a c00n, he aint done nuthin for blacks" type people are completely ignorant of how our government works and are blind to the animosity that a Republican led Congress carries for this man.

Our issues....he just walks on eggshells. Just kid gloves. Also I'm still not over the "I'm not just the president of Black America," comment. That was weak.

I keep hearing broad statements like "black issues" but no one can spell out an example of what he should do for black people that would be legal.
