Of course the ATL
There's been alotta discussion for how the Patriots plan to defend us, "take away" Julio with double coverage, load the box to stop the run, force other guys to beat them, etc. But the other matchup that is gonna be just as important is how we scheme to stop NE. This is the #3 scoring offense in the league (behind us and NO) and even tho it's not as dynamic or explosive as ours, it's just as effective. I wanted to get y'all's thoughts on how we actually slow NE down

This is from The Falcaholic:

How might the Falcons defense try to stop Tom Brady and the Patriots?

It’s not as simple as “get to the QB.”

In many ways, the Patriots offense may be the toughest challenge this young Falconsdefense has faced all year. While they ranked third in points behind the Falcons and Saints, this is a unit that is highly efficient and has a multitude of ways in which it can kill you. Brady has been masterful at not turning the ball over and using his weapons effectively all year.

That said, Andy Benoit of the MMQB has suggested a method of defending this offense that might surprise some fans. At the heart of it is a statement that may flummox Falcons fans:

By only rushing 3, there’s the obvious risk of being gashed in the running game and/or giving Brady too much time to find an open guy. However, it may also put more stress on Brady to make more difficult throws than he is accustomed to.

It’s a risky strategy, but Quinn has shown he’ll change his defensive scheme if it works better. He moved away from the Cover 3 in going after the Packers, which was highly successful. He incorporated more blitzes to try and rattle Aaron Rodgers, which was also outside the norm for his defenses. There’s no reason to think Dan Quinn won’t try something else to limit the damage the Patriots offense can cause.

With less than a week to go until the big dance, it’s highly likely that Dan Quinn will put some new looks on the field to try and stop the prolific Patriots offense. If Benoit is right, Falcons fans may see something entirely different on Sunday.

Im not for putting more guys in zone, I'm sorry. I loved how aggressive we were going after Rodgers, hitting him and forcing him to make a decision quicker than he wanted to. I'm not interested in giving one of the GOATs more time to attack our young defense with less pressure. What y'all think?

I'm scared about whoever matches up with Alford from NE. Tom will see blood in the water if Alford gets an early call or two and their receivers will feast on him.

I got a feeling Toilolo will win the game for us in the end:wow: nobody ever covers him

I think we gotta stack the box/crowd the middle of the field and force Brady to throw outside. Run some stunts to take advantage of the interior of their o-line where they are weakest. Cannon and Solder are solid bookends but Thuney and UGA grad David Andrews can be had, especially by guys like Hageman and Jarrett who have the athleticism to beat them.

Also guys on the d line need to realize that Brady gets the ball out very quickly so get those hands up.
