Of course the ATL
Nothing this team has done had convinced me they're better than they were last yr at this time

Packers gonna give us that work and we'all be 4-4 on a short week in TB (who sucks, but plays us well)

And again coaching is the topic of the day. Why is it still a question mark how prepared this team looks in the second halves of games?

East ATL
Richard Smith needs to get his ass up in the booth with Kyle. The D gave up way too many 3rd down yards :snoop:

Honestly, they killed us on second down just as much. They checked down to Gordon every other play and got 6 to 8 yards consistently. Nothing excuses the offense getting held to 3 points in the second half. First half, we got a gift from Phillip and couldn't capitalize at SD's 20. This team looked bad. Much like last year's squad.

When the o-line wasn't getting dominated they were costing us drives with penalties. Number 1 reason we lost today.

Defense was bad but it's half full of rookies. They played well enough to win in regulation but we couldn't sustain drives in the second half.

How is this a question? We came out and put up 3 TDs in the 3rd quarter against Seattle just last week :francis:

Why can't a bad game just be a bad game?

Game is Seattle, Falcons should've won

Game against Charge, Falcons deserved to lose that game

Richard Smith and Dan Quinn are to blame for the lost.
In the second half the Falcons played too much of a soft prevent defense
and got killed with underneath routes.

If Jalen Collins isn't starting against the Packers next week
this dude HAS TO BE in the dog house with this team.

One thing we've learn about these two loses,
If the run game isn't working for the Falcons
they struggle.

Because we've seen this story time and time again with this coaching staff over the last yr & a half. Bad defense, questionable coaching, penalties and late turnovers. You act like this wasn't a recurring theme last yr

I'm still in shock over how undisciplined this team is...how are we committing false starts at home, including back to back on the drive in the 4th where Matt threw the pick

Coaching is just hit or miss too often with this team, I don't see how that can be chalked up to "just one bad game" when DQ acknowledged his motivation for going for it on 4th down yesterday was based on his coaching failure at SF last yr when he didn't go for it on 4th & goal.

Not sure what's up with Collins...he's getting play on Special Teams but like I've said before: he wasn't that good last yr but got handed the starting job. IDK how good he really is

You act like it's STILL last year. I'm not denying we still have issues, but I'm not gonna ignore the progress we've made either.

Our defense still is pretty bad but the pass rush is improving and we have shown the ability to make plays when it's time to.

Our coaching decisions have been a little hit or miss, but it's ballsy and I'll take that over p*ssyfooting around.

Penalties have been bad luck for us in general.

Our late turnovers have come from aggressive calls and not Center sabotage, so it's really nothing like last year on that end.

I'm not saying you aren't allowed to have your issues and doubts, but to attribute them all to us being the "same team from last year" is not quite accurate to me.

We're 4-3 for a reason. A game worse than we were this time a year ago. Is it the same exact team as last yr? No of course not. But the coaching staff, who was here last yr, is more or less the same. Yea we've made incremental improvements but overall we're still plagued by bad defense, iffy coaching, penalties and turnovers. The penalties are a direct result of unfocused players and unnecessary...I can run down the list, Therezie on McCluster, back to back false starts on the OL, the walking penalty that is Robert Alford, these issues aren't just bad luck it's players not getting coached or held accountable

And coaching isn't just about being aggressive, it's about recognizing the situation and making the best decisions for your team, take the 4th and 1 decision
out of it, defensively this team has been a disaster this yr. Sacks are up, but we're still giving up huge chunks of yards and a lot of points.

It's the same team until proven otherwise

I don't have an issue with the 4th down play, it's running a fukking stretch play that I have an issue with.

And as far as last year vs this year, we're playing MUCH better competition than we were last year.
