1. The population centers are served by DTE and Consumer's Energy. The vast majority of their supply comes from Natural Gas stateside. So Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Flint, Ann Arbor...all those places will be fine. (Albeit with rate hikes FOR SURE.) I'd assume the same for NY and IN.

2. Who this hurts is rural communities and the Upper Peninsula where power from Canada is more widely used aka Trump's base. Their rates will go up the most, perhaps to an unaffordable amount. FAFO.

War on Canada is a non-starter. No one is doing that shyt if anything that's the moment we become a military junta. I cannot see the US Joint Chiefs standing for a full-scale invasion of a ally AND the largest land border in the world. That shyt would be doomsday. Half of Michigan would actively defect.
