Also how do u guys feel about wide pullups?

useless imo.

I prefer underhand/chinups but I'm biased since it's all I did for a long period of time. Imo, whether your goals are purely aesthetic or strength, chinups will be better. Aesthetically better because you get a better stretch at the bottom and you get the added bicep work (even if they did shyt for mine smh) and strength because you will be able to move more weight with it if you're using weights.

Just be on the lookout for any elbow pain that may come along and stay ahead of it by doing soft tissue work on your upper and forearms and also switching up your grips. I'd do 75% chinups / 25% other grips.

I find the hammer grip the easiest to do with added weight. I been sleeping on chin-ups but not anymore :myman:

overhand...

Interestingly enough, I've found the correlation between over and under hand to parallel: squatting vs. doing leg presses...

Someone who does overhand pull-ups, can easily crank out underhand pull-ups like nothing, but the same isn't true, when reversed...

just saying :yeshrug:

its for different reasons really though

with overhand it takes your biceps out of its ideal leverage spot by starting pronated which just shifts more work towards your lat

but ive read somewhere surprisingly that your lats get stimulated the same degree with both hands..my theory is thats because the lats engage the strongest for only abhout 6-9" of the total motion(in the middle) so in theory the added difficulty is just at the start of the movement because your arms arent able to assist as much as they would underhand

so really its the little muscles like teres major/minor that have to do more work(also your shoulders)

If I wanna work the lats I'll do over hand and bring my chest to the bar.

If I wanna work my bis and shoulders I'll do the underhand chinup.

Underhand.....shyt is purely a bicep workout for me. I see the nikkas doing that kiddy shyt like that's impressive. :childplease: Overhead or otherwise fukking useless. Wide grip is kinda redundant also.

they are all diff exercises that hit diff stabilizers and little muscles.. do em all, switch it up.

do chinups (overhand), pullups (underhand), hammer pullups, then move your arms widers, less, crossed over, diff types of grips

you gotta constantly chnge with your exercises. my fav is still underhand close together.

Are you trolling? Everything you just said is wrong.
