Rocks box office draw is very skewed. Peopke look at ff and gi joe and think hes a huge draw but what they really should be looking at is snitch, faster and pain and gain.

Rock has been in hollywood over ten years now and has never shown that he can carry a movie strictly on his own. Studios get gassed off of franchises(with 10 other big named actors) and think hes the next Arnold/Stallone. The simple fact is hes not and the big, action star of the 80s/90s doesn't exist at all. This movie looked horrible from the get go. The promo has been non existent and from what I seen the trailers looked like shyt. It consists of him just yelling and fighting CGI creatures with that ridiculous Kevin Sorbo costume design. Ratner directing. There is no way an awful, shyt looking movie like Lucy should beat this. This will be an indictment on Rock come next week

Movies slipped to 65 since you posted.
The film wasnt screened early for critics(always a bad sign) so reviews will be rolling out all day. We arent half way to the number of reviews for an average summer movie.
IGN gave it a 7.2 out of 10. The movie is leaning towards to being an opening weekend watch brehs.
The movie has 6.8 on IMDB. On Rotten Tomatoes it has 63% from critics (67% from Top Critics) and 66% from the audience. So it looks like it will be an enjoyable & entertaining movie, if not a good a movie. Definitely worth at least a matinee.

Metacritic is MUCH harsher than IMDB & Rotten Tomatoes, so I don't use Metacritic for Movie review scores.

That and the whole trailer is a lie all those monsters and shyt he fights are part of a four minute montage at the beginning of the movie
I'm an hour into the extended version of this movie & I'm enjoying it. Why nikkas acting like this movie was straight-up garbage?

I don't think anyone is acting like it's garbage. No one saw it to find out. I'll catch it eventually but I just had no desire to see a Bret ratner directed Hercules flick man. It just looked very generic and I think that's why the box office was what it was
I just saw it yesterday, I really liked it 8/10 movie with the small twist to the Hercules story
