None of any of this comment and ummmmm "spoiler" was even necessary. It's that serious to you huh???I actually enjoy the series. Things get revealed about the characters in nearly every episode. Some may not call it development but that's exactly what it is. The writing actually has purpose, it may seem lazy, but it's in a way most wouldn't expect, so that would be considered whatever some choose to call it.
The following is a spoiler for the benefit of those who didn't watch the episode yet.....Alcohol really makes a person reveal them true selves. For real. And everyone is crooked and out for self, whether the cops or anyone else.
Tariq has turned completely into his father, he's even hooked on the alcohol. Interesting that Tariq told Ghost he only cares about himself, when that's exactly why Tariq killed the cop. he wasn't avenging his sister, he hated that girl. Ray Ray knew Tariq eventually would snitch. Also Tariq claims all he wants is the truth, when he wont tell the truth himself. Raina died because of him, but he cant own up that he WATCHED her die. He could easily tell the truth that he saw it all go down. But he cant because he's just like Ghost. Tariq isn't smart at all. if he was he wouldn't fukk with Kanan especially since he was the one that introduced him to the chick that got him set up at his school dance, where ultimately Raina died. Tariq also knows that Raina is the beloved one of the twins. "I want the truth". To get truth you got to tell some. Tariq never will, but he'll say enough that his father cant get credit for something like he's gonna drop the info to Kanan that ghost didn't kill Ray Ray. Tariq is being developed.
Tasha really is an embarrassment to every woman alive. I've always said for a woman that has no actually job and only one friend that really dont be around her much, how can she be so oblivious to anything about her kids? Ordering the wrong cake is the next addition to the proof, but then Tasha has always showed her colors about her kids. She's never around them, so how can she know them? And why introduce Silver as a friend, knowing damn well her moms aint gonna go for it? Keisha knows who he is, Tariq does too, he was in the courtroom when Ghost got released. And all of them was on the TV with Silver as the lawyer. I would say Yaz know, but I'm not sure she even knows how to talk, other than her "where's waina?" cameo line. Tasha is the worst I've ever seen. Don't want the life no more, but the next day right back in the penthouse hosting the birthday party....lol. Host it at the hotel she living in. What a bird.
Speaking of Silver, it's only a matter of time before he figures this all out. He really is a simp, but he aint stupid. He know Tasha didn't do it, but he should also know Ghost isn't so clumsy to do that work with Tasha gun either. Silver also knows Tasha gun isn't stolen. Once he finds out Tasha aint this trophy he thinks she is, he'll disconnect.
Tommy has always been messy with his dealings, but I knew it wouldn't take long for him to know Tariq warned Dre. He's smart, but messy. He doesnt truly trust Teresi, but leaving that check sitting right on top the mail was typical Tommy. Tommy knows Teresi aint no good, he spilled the beans right at Tommy's house after a few drinks. Tommy aint snitching no matter what, Teresi basically told him it's ok to be a rat if it aint family. Tommy don't live by that code at all. Gonna be interesting to see where Tommy goes from there with that revelation, since now he knows how Teresi got out. I am wondering who Tommy is gonna place that tracker on.
Kanan has a real role in the show. He's the one that actually ties all this together without ever being blamed for anything but the "good" he does. Kanan has everyone believing he's saving them. I thought he was gonna kill his new buddy though.
Ghost is as pathetic as Tasha, and true to form he's honest when drinking. Out of all that happened this episode laying hands on Tate in front of all those folks, then saying "i'll kill you" really was not the move to make. there's a lot more to list on Ghost end, the list is truly endless.
I'm mad at you for thinking that it was necessary to write a 20 paragraph dissertation analysis of the Young and the Hopeless, - New York edition. I was expecting the credits to have a with special guest producer - Tyler Perry.
"Dear God, it's me, Ghost.... I want to be a, all I want to be is ... is ....God- Are you listening ?? .. I want to be a better man!!!!!" * cue choir, next scene - Ghost goes to fuk the sidepiece after his introspection. instead of running after his son.
but like you said, character development... lmao
