Question, in television show's who gets the writing credits. I thought it was a team who wrote the episodes together but I noticed each episode has different people listed as the actual writer.
Also when Ghost told Angela he lied to get people off her back, was he talking about that cannibal motherfukker who was moving drugs through his club? Was he lying to her lol.

different people write different episodes. I know in Atlanta, some episodes were written by Childish Gambino. Some were written by his brother.

Different people contribute but ultimately one or two people get picked to be the writer who gets the bulk of that script work and gets the credit
Side note this was a much better episode and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I see, that makes sense cause in the ending BTS look into the episode Courtney makes it seem like a team writes it but I noticed the team doesn't get credited as a whole for any of the episodes. I guess who ever writes a bulk of it should get the credit then or maybe they just share credit among the team so everyone's name gets shown.
Yeah from my understanding, the show runner (courtney in this case) would decide who's next up to bat to pen the bulk of an episode. But the entire writers room contributes ideas and dialogue and some ideas make it, some don't.
Aaron Sorkin, for instance, penned every episode of the West Wing for four seasons. But the show still had a writers room and they pitched ideas, pitched stories, and he just put whatever in the final pot. Then you have cases where you'll see a "written by" credit and a "story by" credit which normally means someone got rewritten but still gets credit for at least coming up with the story.
