I could see that angle too. Kinda boring tho. Only way that play with the info makes sense is if the other 3-4 nikka in on it with OC.
They gotta be planning on killing kanan if that's the play. Which will probably leave Kanan no other choice but to link with Raq or Kanan and Jukebox kill everyone.

Or they leave Kanan alive, Kanan tells Juke what happened and she says they can't let that rock.

The show gotta tie up the Raq/Marvin/Lou/Unique shyt before it turns to Breeze/Kanan/Juke....possibly young Ghost & Tommy.

They've been slow-walking it too long. Show started in 1991 and it looks like Fame was killed in 1992 based on his funeral obituary that Juke was holding (think it said 1975 to 1992). So we on Season 4 but only moved like 1 year and change in time? MJ not even playing baseball yet? Then we got Kanan rocking Jordan 9's and them shyts didn't drop until Fall 1993.
