I enjoy this show, but I don't know man, I have some gripes.

As someone who lived in Cambria Heights and Laurelton in this era as a kid, not far from where it's based, I don't think they're doing nearly enough to replicate this time in terms of the live music, fashion, slang etc. Just the way they talk to each other, there's not enough slang and the dialogue doesn't scream 1992/3 to me. The odd character here and there might rock a Karl Kani t-shirt or whatever, but meh....no beanie ties (which damn near every other person was rocking), no pants leg up? None of the dudes got their name or patterns shaved in their heads?

Don't even get me started on 'B-Rilla' lol.

It just feels lazy cos it's not like it was so long ago in history that it's hard to reference. Ain't like they gotta get ancient medieval costumes. Just refer to the movie Strapped or Just another girl on the IRT.
