Show had a spake when it started and is now coasting on nostalgic 80s/90s wardrobe and vehicles.

Even the music has taken a dip now that they realized they can create shītty fake AI renditions of Jodeci and Wu Tang sounding records.

They had every opportunity to get this show right and things started getting weird when Raq got in too deep with Howard who just happened to still work in the same area she lived in after he knocked her up.

Ronnie was neutralized too easily and Kanan’s pace was too inconsistent. He shouldve been a bootleg crash out from day 1 who was trying to get in the game but faced opposition from Unique so he branches out to Queensbridge — then grows an organization so thorough that the elders can’t believe it. By that time he tells them to fůck off.

I feel like Raq has something to do with Fame’s murder. And if that’s the case, she is undoubtedly the most evil mother in the whole Power universe. Y’all give Tasha and Monet shyt for being bad mothers, but at least they never had their kids friends killed. Even worse by both of her brothers.

I think magically retconning Unique's death threw the storytelling off. This show was firing on almost all cylinders consistently, but they made a huge swerve when Joey Bada$$ agreed to come back after the character's popularity. It's STILL better than everything but early OG Power.
