It will be stupid to ban it, because the process can be easily done by anybody...Now that the idea is in the market, the flood gates have been unlocked...

The Government will have to ban liquid alcohol in order to ban powdered alcohol...

Somebody will post the instructions of how to convert liquid alcohol into a powdered form, and I can't imagine it being that difficult...

It is organic chemistry 101...

It's actually not that easy i'd imagine. I doubt the average person even has the equipment to do the process.

That's what i was saying. How do you dehydrate alcohol without making it evaporate? :yeshrug:
Exactly. I'm actually doing some research right now, and so far there is no way you can do this shyt at home lol. Thats not even taking into consideration the fact that anything you make that is to be ingested, you'd PROBABLY want to NMR it to make sure you won't kill yourself. Unless you into making meth or something :heh:

Yep. When i saw the article it made me wonder if it has some sort of 'safe' binding agent incorporated in the formula or something.

I really don't believe it is that difficult...Once the method is published, everybody will be able to do it on their own...

I found an article at Alcohol Powder Starts Flowing

Food chemist Udo Pallmer of the European Institute of Food and Nutrition Sciences in Munich was cited in a German news article from WZ Newsline as describing the process of turning alcohol into powder through its absorption into the sugar derivative cyclodextrin. At this point, the alcohol becomes encapsulated in capsules ready to be handled as a powder.

Ya this is basically what i saw as well. They use the cyclodextrin to bind the alcohol basically. You would still need to be trained chemist to do this properly though. So many factors involved. Its not as easy as dumping ethanol into a batch of this stuff.

To get a purer product...No doubt...But to get something rough just to get drunk, I think will be able to do it at home...

Right now, the process is still vague, but once it is widely publicized, people will start experimenting in their own kitchens...

Alcoholics will drink hand sanitizer just to get some alcohol in their system...They don't need a pure product, just something that is potent enough to satisfy their cravings...

This shyt has the potential to change our society and drug laws, if it hits the mainstream and becomes popular...

You will have to even ban sugar to stop under-aged kids from producing this stuff...

I was reading something as well that made a lot of sense, that has some relevance to your point. How potent can the powder really be? The cyclodextrin can only bind so much alcohol, so how much of it would you need to have to really get a good fukk you up type drink going once you add the water. In addition, how expensive is the powder? Its sugar derivative, and those are typically expensive as they are difficult to synthesize. So ya, there might be a niche following to this stuff, mostly among junkies and teenagers. The company seems to be embracing this.
