Can we save all the bickering for 2024. :heh: Y’all are making predictions with certainty. 22 months out. Based on polls like the last few elections were meaningless. :heh:

Remember when Chris Christie was supposed to be the next guy?

Crazy Rudy?

Jeb!?

The only thing we know for certain about all these guys is their state level success did not translate to national stage.

Look at the 2022 RED wave. I’m out of the prediction game personally.

So why do you support being anti-DEI?
I'm not quite sure most people know what most DEI programs do in the university.

A lot of their work is in helping to raise graduation rates for black and brown people, but also people of low income, which includes a lot of white folks. Beyond that, they typically work within the institution and with community partners to help people get jobs post-degree and make the connections in the work community that come easily for wealthier and whiter people.

The other work is in addressing anti-blackness, racism, etc., in the institution. That front-facing stuff scares people because they don't like black folks or think that LGBT+ people shouldn't exist, which is too bad. DEI divisions are pretty useful overall. You could probably just rename it and do like 90% of the same shyt you already do if you're working on a DEI committee, but why bow down to the people who hate you and hate that black people might be able to get a come up after working their asses off for it? It doesn't matter what you do or how you name it in that case, some conservative will try to destroy it.
