Yeah the only way he'd beat Jeffries with that is if he made some kind of deal where Jeffries tells a couple of Dems not to attend.
But I don't really see why Jeffries would want to bail him out. Democrats would have to get something significant out of it and I'm not sure they would.

Two potential outcomes
1. if McCarthy steps down (don't believe he will) then Jordan would probably have enough votes but Jordan doesn't seem to want it.. at least not publicly.
2. McCarthy gives and gives to the 20 until they come around. Which means he'll really only ever be speaker in name only. They'll never respect him and they'll just wanna push their dumb agenda for two years (Re: Hunter Biden and Ukraine)
#2 is what i see happening..
