Some specific South Carolina insight brehs might be interested in knowing
-Nikki grew up in Bamberg, SC; predominately black town. Nikki Haley is not white. Her parents both worked around/with black people (Dad taught at Voorhees College) yet she was sent to school in one of the most segregated schools in SC, Orangeburg Prep. (Orangeburg is literally next door to Bamberg)
To give insight on how segregated Orangeburg Prep STILL is, "By 2007, the Orangeburg public school system was 90 percent black, while Orangeburg Prep was still 95 percent white."

-Nikki Haley was elected governor of SC because she was seen as a "young, pretty white woman" (Which isn't surprising because she registered herself as "white") and mainly because she supported the Confederate Flag and Sons of Confederate Veterans hard. There are filmed interviews where she even stated pro-Confederate stuff and even said there should be a "Confederate History Month" because there is a Black History Month. When the Dylan Roof shooting happened, she stated this at first "the Confederate flag symbolized “service, sacrifice and heritage” for some people in her state until Dylann S. Roof “hijacked” it.". Then when she started getting National heat, she switched up and called for the Confederate Flag to be taken down from the capitol grounds because “for many others in South Carolina, the flag is a deeply offensive symbol of a brutally oppressive past.”. So many of those Confederates consider Nikki a sellout.

- From 2008 to around 2014, HBCU South Carolina State University, located in Orangeburg, was suffering from a lot of leadership & financial troubles to the point where it almost lost its accreditation. Governor Nikki Haley was basically talking s*** about SC State during this time. Saying things like she would fight to stop funding to SC State University and blamed alumni giving. SC State alumni counters by starting a 1 million fundraising goal UNTIL a federal investigation discovers the board of trustees were stealing money/receiving kickbacks along with that current President Thomas Elzey. (Also at this time, the SC Governor almost exclusively appointed SC State University's Board of Trustees which was never questioned) SC State was 23 million in debt and the student population went from just under 5000 in 2008 to just under 3000 in 2015. So Nikki Haley decides to fire the whole board of trustees and create her own new board of trustees to help with the financial trouble and public perception of SC State. From this exact new board, SC State University hires its new President, James Clark. Any auditing/accounting professional would know this is a conflict of interest, but it was allowed to happen. SC State University got into good financial standing, but quickly fell FURTHER down to the point where the school was going to close down due to low enrollment. Nikki Haley visits SC State in 2021 offering support for James Clark and asking that we give James Clark more time to change things around. Clark was fired a month later. "Clark's legal team said they believe Haley’s on-campus visit played a part in his termination."

A year later, it's discovered the previous board & Clark were awarding themselves money/contract extensions. Smh.
SC State's current student population is just under 1800 students.

-Nikki Haley is a current Trump supporter; initially saying this about Trump "describing him as “everything I taught my children not to do in kindergarten.” (She endorsed Senator Marco Rubio of Florida.) She criticized Mr. Trump for his immigration policies and, particularly forcefully, for choosing “not to disavow the K.K.K.”. Also, she said she would not run for President if Trump ran for re-election and has now changed her mind.
