It literally snows 1-6 inches 5 or 6 days a week in chicago.This been the Woat winter

ya'll gotta remember, the south doesn't have ANY infrastructure to deal with snow.
no snow trucks.
no sand
no salt
and the drivers DAMN sure don't have snow tires like that.

But don't they at least have a 4x4 culture round them hick parts?
4x4s have NOTHING to do with traction.
4x4 deals with torque more than anything, which is pulling power.
A simple corolla with snow tires will do leagues better than a 4x4 on regular ones.
I'm referring to the 4WD/AWD factor.
In a conventional fwd/rwd one wheel slips = game over. In 4WD all it takes is one wheel to maintain traction.
Which is why they're popular in places lacking paved roads.
But anyway those who do have trucks can make some good bank doing private contractor plowing

dude trust me.
I spent most of my life down there.
Whenever it snows, the 4x4s are some of the first ones in the ditches cause they think they can manuever everything when they don't even have the TRACTION to move forward in the first place.
Furthermore, the governments don't have the systems in place to pre-salt or pre-sand the major roads and highways...which is a MAJOR impact as well.
