Yea, trying to understand how poster is trying to inject accomplishments into the arguments. There have been way too many to name athletes who’ve gotten shyt on from sports media and fans. that has had a negative affect on their psyche and more times than not, they didn’t pull back but leaned in further on the criticisms and attacks. But I don’t see gender being it. We as a society want our athletes to be super human almost robotic like. How dare they feel…human ?

other poster got it...it’s not about comparing them as far as where they stand in their sport. It’s the different treatment.

And Simone and Osaka aren’t being drug by anyone except some combination of right wing, old head, race baiters. I highly doubt Lebron walking off the court 5mins into the first quarter gets an article calling it the most GOAT thing a GOAT can do.

I have no issue with Biles doing what she needed to do to protect herself, but it’s received completely different for women and it’s a big problem society can’t give that grace to men...having convos with my bros, male friends, and my dude, I’m cognizant of how much vulnerability y’all have to just hide, and that’s not ok for mental stability in and of itself, let alone the actual issue y’all may be dealing with.
