Yeah don’t know how many times and different ways he needed to tell Dan “stop telling me how I need to feel”.

i will say i thinks its also an interview tactic to entice the viewer and the interviewee. If that makes sense.

the framing of the question not only shows how dan feels but also is meant to force the person being asked, to combat it.

You can tell by the emotion dan demonstrates and equally wants to bring it out of the audience and the person being interviewed.

Why do y’all have to criticize everything Dan does. Why can’t we just be happy somebody is talking about this stuff without trying to be cool with both sides. I think some of y’all are trying to find shyt that’s really not there.

Go listen to Greenie or Keyshawn and stick to sports since it’s no way you can be pleased.

Yeah, a lot of people overlook that secretly, Dan is secretly a great interviewer. You don't get Carl's great quote of "I can't just not do something just because the white man said so" without poking the bear a little bit.

And, in fairness, a good portion of it is Dan going through his own political awakening over the last decade. But the reality is, if things are going to change around here, we're unfortunately going to have to go through this public process with a LOT of people.

But my biggest take away from Thursday's shows so far (midway through the Carl interview):

fukk David Samson, and every single pathetic motherfukker walking the earth just like him. The type of motherfukker who looks at this week's events aghast, and are quick to point out that this isn't what they wanted, and didn't vote for him a second time, expecting credit. Nah. I can't speak for everyone obviously, but I'd think that for most of us here, Wednesday was more of "Look at these crazy cracks" moment more than it was legitimately shocking, because we always knew some shyt like this was a very real possibility. To have voted for him in 2016 was to say that even if this week wasn't something you wanted, you were at least saying you're not entirely opposed to it. fukk this a$$hole for wanting a pat on the back for being the political equivalent of a breh smashing multiple times in a row, but strapping up once, and thinking they're cool.

So yall dont think Stu is a clear Trump supporter?
Idk. That's the one thing I will say about Samson. He at least admitted that he voted for Trump in 2016. Stugotz would NEVER do that. I know a lot of famous Jewish people tend to vote Democrat, but Stugotz likes his money. I know he's a chameleon, but I can't see him having that type of relationship with Roy over 15 years without getting his perspective on things like that.

When Dan said Stugotz sold his likeness for the reason to put some bread in the other guys pockets, I knew he was an ok dude. Still shady as hell, but he appreciates the guys.

I'm pretty sure Stugotz saved the local hour when the shipping container was sinking it.

They couldn't get a sponsor or something like that and Stugotz was able to sell the ad space to keep them afloat for a little while longer.

Dan mentioned it on one of the podcasts not that long ago. I think around the time they were losing an hour on the national show

:stopitslime: Dan ain't my enemy. People like Will Cain are the ones we need to be worried about.

I don't understand why y'all are so hard on Dan.

And how was my post :mjpls:? Do you even understand how that smiley is used?:dwillhuh:
:dahell:

Because we actually listen to him.

Why the fukk would I be listening to Will fukking Cain?

Ya'll gotta stop with this fan boy shyt. Ain't nobody said to stop listening to Dan like most of us have been for years.

Same reason I don't complain about Jason Whitlock--it's like that nikka doesn't exist, in my world--I actively avoid his voice.

Then why complain about the things he says. Stop listening if you don't agree.

My point was people in this thread complain about Dan's takes on political/race issues and acts like he's part of the overall problem because he's Cuban. Dude talks about race and politics which most of these talking heads are afraid of because they're scared of pissing off people like the ones that stormed the capitol on Wednesday. I'm not gonna be critical of people who use their platform to condemn those idiots.
And I'm not saying you should listen to Will Cain :heh: I'm just saying we should spend more energy being more critical of people like him instead fukking Dan Le Batard.

Ain't nobody said to stop listening to Dan like most of us have been for years.

You right. Nobody said stop listening. I just don't understand the people who listen everyday and complain and criticize because he is not doing it how you want him too. I don’t get it.

@YakSpiller

One, I'm just copping to complaining about Dan, in this thread. Don't take every complain and make them out to be from me.

Then why complain about the things he says. Stop listening if you don't agree.

This is a childish suggestion.

Stop expecting everyone to be a hater or devoted stan.

I've even posted suggestions for him to improve and the exact problems I have with his views. I'm not expressing outlandish critiques or name calling or attacking him personally or being vague at what the problem is.

Critique is a part of life and you should expect it from every one.

Dude talks about race and politics which most of these talking heads are afraid of because they're scared of pissing off people like the ones that stormed the capitol on Wednesday.

I don't even know what this is supposed to mean.

That's a pretty low bar if your talking about ESPN. I actually engage in politics from an academic level, that's why Dan is so frustrating at times. He's not speaking at a level to where he's needed. I'm gonna need Dan to atleast read a book about black history/current events.
  • The Color of Law, Richard Rothstein
  • Man-Not, Dr Tommy Curry
  • The Color of Money, Mehrsa Baradaran
This emotional shyt non black liberals/lefties/Democrats do gets annoying when it doesn't sound like they know what they are talking about.

That shyt last week was a drop in the bucket in a ocean of crazy shyt white folks have done in this country.

shyt like; dead black bodies rolling down the Capital stairs is overboard when someone like Stan Van Gundy is agreeing with him for the most part but presenting his points like a level headed grown up. Stan sounds like he reads books on this shyt and talks to people outside of a show to get perspective on the black American experience.

I'm just saying we should spend more energy being more critical of people like him instead fukking Dan Le Batard.

This is a Dan Lebatard thread, why would we be talking about anyone else?

You want us to give Dan a cookie for talking about racism and you don't know how to say it.
