few things...

for people asking for what's up w/ the related podcast selection:

SBS is a Dan interview show. Like any interview show, your interest will wax & wane depending on the specific guest. Given that Dan is a better interviewer than most, if you have even mild interest in the subject, then take the dive b/c Dan will his best to make the most out of talking to them. Even if you don't give a fukk, the S. Florida luminary debate was different & cool & I liked the new Dan Patrick pod.

Stupodity is 100% Stugotz, but you'll definitely feel the edits & brushstrokes in the character in this venture. Like when he does solo shows or when he did the show w/ Jr Golic, you can feel him continuing to fill time and repeat himself (even though it's edited), but he's very much in the character of Stugotz, especially as the podcast's shortcomings only reinforce the essence of Stugotz. Acquired taste.

Mina's show is all football. She breaks it down better than most everyone, but you got to be in the mood for football talks. I love Mina, and will check for her most any platform but football talk, especially off-season, can be daunting. But Mina's one of the best at it, so, again , at your discretion...

I only listened to this initial Sarah Spain podcast for this platform & it's one of the best Dan interviews I've heard. I thought her airplane takes were lame and I still think she's one of the weaker Lebatard cloud guests, but she did pretty good in this format (at least w/ Dan.) If you like the radio show, I'd give this one a listen sometime.

For those saying the radio show is lacking lately; many are referencing the local hour, which has probably changed the most within the past year. As someone who's only used to the national show, sure it can flux from segment to segment and day to day but, to me, that's daily radio. I'm still enjoying the majority of the show day to day and not seeing anything near the fall off others are claiming.

Not saying you can't claim it but I'm just not hearing/seeing the same thing y'all are off the same content. Loved yesterday's show; loved today's show.

Feel what yall feel but I'm not co-signing any perceived fall-off.

I'm with you on who the SBS guest is determining if I will listen to it or not.

They had Dominique on a few weeks back and I gave it the :camby:

I actually like Stupodity and subscribed :ehh:

I listened to the Spain pod for the Dan interview but the only part I cared about was when they spoke on the show turmoil from 2016 where Dan was dealing with his demons.

She was caught up in the middle of that so I thought they would dive in but they only touched on it briefly.

I don't see myself listening to it ever again and as much as I'm a fan of Mina when she's on the show, I only checked out her podcast for the segment she had with the shipping container which was :russ:

I have a love/hate relationship with the shipping container right now, and as dynamic as their personalities are, they're more tolerable as background singers letting someone else drive the show.

There is some potential there as they "find their voice".

What'd they say about that?

Basically said it was the lowest point in the show's history and Dan admitted it was "largely" his fault. :beli:

Said he was going through it because his dog died and his relationship of 5 years had ended :ld:

Said Stugotz received a brunt of his bitterness and was a champion through the whole ordeal which is true and feels like they're relationship is stronger because of it :francis:

I remember this specifically and knew that shyt started getting personal. Dan was an a$$hole more than usual for about a good 2-3 months and going at Stugotz hard saying some really fukked up shyt. Dan has gotten better but he's really one future divorce or job loss away from going over the edge. He has issues.

I always thought that period of time was them playing into the tension. You could tell they were tired of each other but I didn’t know it was that deep. I may look past my disdain for Sarah Spain and listen to this episode.

*note* timestamp on the first audio clip closer to 26:29

Dan was really just jealous and how Stugotz' popularity began to skyrocket. He really started resenting Stu and how laid back he was and got rewarded.
Edit: The Highly Questionable segment was hilarious with Stugotz:russ::russ:
Dan is a bytch and hates that he isn't liked by people like Stu is.
