Yeah, Dan trying to hard. Surprisingly Cote was the one who had the better take on the subject.

He said that even if you go with more sinister view that Nike is doing this merely for promo; Kaep still benefits by getting a larger platform, his message gets amplified further, and he gets $$ for him and his cause.
