People said Dan's radio and TV show bring up race for ratings. Dan said race makes people uncomfortable so it actually can cost him listeners. ESPN 2 is the second highest rated sports channel behind ESPN so there is no need to do desperate things for ratings. Someone else brought up young people unplugging and cable subscribers going down. Dan said that is true but if ESPN is hit by that then Foxsports1, NBC Sports and places like that have to be hit harder since their ratings stay low anyway. ESPN and the family of networks had their best year financially last year. Dan hit Cowherd and Foxsports1 as not a real threat. The people unplugging would be more of a concern to ESPN than any other networks stealing away viewers consistently. This explanation was way too long.
I think Fat a@@ Whitlock might have went at Dan's neck over the Barkley interview, and Dan just started firing shots all around, ecspecially because that fakkit Cowherd gives Whitlock a platform.
Yo, I was thinking during the segment, if ESPN would just let Dan be Dan, they would have the biggest, most vocal, intelligent ally they could have, with a pretty big platform (next best on radio to Mike & Mike) but instead, because they try to censor him, you don't get what you got today all the time.
I have only gotten through the whole local, and the first 10 minutes of the 1st national hour (forgot my iphone chord so I had to listen to garbage a@@ radio on my way home) but im gonna listen to the rest when I go to bed with my headphones on.
Funny sh!t happened today, I got home from work and picking my daughter up, and told my wife i couldn't listen and said "Hannah (daughter) must have been happy", my wife was like "she says she hates it, but really loves Stugotz, she thinks he's hilarious"
I'm gonna be lost without game notes come 2 Mondays from now
