What shows does Meadowlark even have as of April 2025? legit question, it's DLS, God Bless Football, Amin's gotta be doing at least 1 show for them and I have no clue what else is there.

I get part of the show is that they're able to sink in to and play off of some of the cast members being bad......but Charlotte was specifically ass, not even quirky...for this show at least.

I didn't listen to her show with Amin, but from the little I did hear....seemed like Amin was carrying.

Also, I'm not sure if all these off shoots are 100% Dan's decisions or Draft King's just wants the LeBatard push to some of the other shows......like Renee Montgomery's show was on the LeBatard feed for a while. But it seemed a bit forced compared to the other people LeBatard has help naturally break/push.

Might be a situation where corporate is seeing all these former DLS affiliates getting a stimulus push from them naturally being on LeBatard's show.....and think they can continuously replicate it by forcing it.

I think you misunderstand

he patronizes women by hiring mediocre talent (not Jessica) I personally think Charlotte was unlistenable and Lucy was not my thing at all.

let's just call it what it is, we're still listening because the show is quirky and weird in its own way. The week that Dan was gone to LA was the best in a long time. Hawk/Amin/even Samson, it was a carefree vibe.

Here comes Hippo with his scripted contrived shows and what do you know.

But tbf, who that is not a main personality (a/b chair)….can’t be perceived as mediocre “talent”?

The best bits about Chris play into the fact that he isn’t that good, which make him good for the show.


Outside of Billy & Mike, you can argue all of the shipping container types either are or started out as mediocre talent.

Even with Billy & Mike, they were allowed to grow into themselves within the show.

So if anything Dan is equal opportunity to giving mid a shot. And in a vacuum, Jess is better than most of the earlier versions of the shipper container guys.




As far as the show being 90% white, as Billy usually calls him out on, Dan flip flops between Cubans and himself being white or “brown”.

In his head….he probably thinks the show is actually 70% “brown” / black minus Stugotz, the Cotes, Jeremy, and Samson. and tosses the white women into the minority category.

I mean his brother has been and did die over these past few years. And I believe he’s said or implied his father is mentally deteriorating to the point where he’s had to do welfare checks.

Those are probably moreso the reason I would assume….

I hate when he gets in that bag. Almost worse than when JuJu grinds the show to halt with his “positivity” pivots

I thought Charlotte was horrible in a funny way. The same type of way the show takes advantage to make funny bits and build characters.

A young, female Cote was a potential that could've been explored but she was hired in another role which she wasn't suited for.

She was not in a position to succeed nor in a position to fail and be funny about it, which is what the show is all about.

Having said all that, it ain't like she's missed. But imo, they had a chance to make a fun character out of her :manny:

Pablo's show (which just got a Peabody nom), Samson's show, Amin's Oddball, etc...

I think they tried to do what what tons of podcasts have tried to do which is replicate the network model and thinking they need to fill out a whole lineup of shows but that usually fails outside the main one or two shows that established the brand in the first place.

I think that's also why the new tactic is attaching the new offshoots into the main show feeds like Jeremy's Pitch Clock or JuJu's Alley-Oop in the Oddball feed. It also makes the most sense b/c the main shows are the ones already simulcast on DKN, Max, Peacock, etc...
