Listening to the yesterdays local hour and just listening to Dan, when it comes to speaking about sports and not the things surrounding it, he’s lost his fastball. Still enjoy Southbeach Sessions but damn, it’s a chore listening to him ramble and yada yada player empowerment. Dan from a decade ago don’t exist anymore.

Listening to all the stories on the Oral History of the show, it becomes pretty obvious that the one person that couldn't become complacent was Dan. Everyone was always on edge because of him and wanting to meet his expectations and do a show that's unique and better than the rest.

But with Dan getting older, married and having other responsibilities it makes sense how he's just not that guy anymore. And without him forcing the crew to reach certain standard, and without Mike's neurotic ass as executive producer putting pressure on everyone to make Dan happy, everyone else just becomes lazier.

Of course, Stu is the biggest winner as he can fraud it up for more money than ever :russ:

But it's gotten this way even before he got married. I can't recall the year, but he had an interview with Kyle Turley. It's literally T5 candid sports interviews I've ever heard and I have it somewhere saved on an old hard drive. And the thing was, he was capable of those monthly during the 790 days (and early on in the ESPN ones too) but now, hit or miss. I don't listen every day like I use to but I only see folks talking about the bits and not the stuff like the Turley interview which I think would help balance some of the tomfoolery
