What I don't get is that he makes this "Evolution of the Game" shyt sound like it came out of nowhere in the same breath of talking about Manute Bol as if the end of his NBA run wasn't nearly 30 years ago. Or like Dirk Nowitzki didn't exist, and retire long enough ago that he's just two seasons away from HOF eligibility. Or that the Heat didn't try to galaxy brain "positionless basketball" almost a decade and a half ago.

The only thing that's really changed is that the analytics guys are currently in power, so usage and gameplanning is different. I'm sure someone could find proof of old players saying that the skillsets really aren't all that different than they used to be as much as the coaching (or lack thereof?) is.
They literally put clips up on twitter side by side of Chet doing the same moves that KD and Dirk did before him, yet it's mindblowing to him seeing a 7footer do this in 2022.

It's fukking mind boggling. Even if you're charitable and give him this being a recent change in the game, this is still shyt That's been happening for 10 years at minimum. It's like he's the oldest social media addicted millennial that has their entire opinion shaped by clips and posts they saw on Twitter.

This motherfukker Dan really worked "evolution of the game", and being bewildered by Chet Holmgren into an intro to talking about Lamar Jackson. :dead:

And this motherfukker really did it by saying he can't understand Chet Holmgren in the exact same breath as talking about Kevin Durant coming into the league. :dead:

All to drag out a conversation about how people were wrong about Lamar Jackson, when the answer is that people just didn't consider that the Ravens would change their offense to make him look better.

Y'all really didn't notice Dan sonning himself when talking about this era of tennis with Federer, Nadal and Djokovic being insane with the three best players in the history of that sport coinciding? :pachaha:

Him talking about "having three Michael Jordans playing at the same time" when he's been salty about Mike for years and tries to downplay his level AND puts LeBron ahead of him every chance he can get :mjlol:. I was honestly expecting Guillermo to interrupt him and ask "wait, don't you mean three LeBrons at the same time?"

If Delaware courts force Elon to buy Twitter and Tesla never figures out self-driving/robotaxis they going to need to play that "Holy shyt Stugotz was right" song for the next 10 years. He's been calling Musk a huckster for damn near a decade.

Them shytting on Elon Musk has really went from being mostly just a fukkery bit to actual valid criticism, entirely without them actually changing anything about it at all. :dead:

That Andrew Hawkins interview was a regular good ass interview. He seem like a good, insightful dude

Yeah, it was really nice to see just a regular ass interview.

I haven't been keeping up with Andrew Hawkins in his media career, but I'm definitely checking for him now. That story of him realizing it was time to retire was some cool shyt, even though Stugotz tried to step on it with Brady dikkriding.

The show used to be really good at interviews....they seem uncomfortable as hell most of the time now with anyone outside of their realm/ESPN world.

watched one of the Basketball Illuminati pods on the YT channel and they gotta chill with all the edits/overproduction, there was some good basketball talk on the KD/Kyrie situation that got mucked up with all of that nonsense
