From what I remember, The Rock basically blacked out after chairshot #3 or 4 and either forgot to check up on Mick after the fact (which lead to them falling out for a bit), was upset that he forgot when confronted about it and tried to make amends or he did check up on Mick and because Mick's brains were scrambled, he didn't recall it taking place.
I believe Mick got simultaneously concussed/caught up in the moment because he was supposed to fall after 3 or 4 chair shots but just kept standing up and telling Rock to hit him. Then after, like you said, his brains were scrambled so he doesn’t remember Rock checking up on him

i can't find the clip but around the time Contra Unit first debuted in MLW they had a beatdown where Jacob Fatu did a moonsault on somebody on a stretcher. And they kept ringing the bell.
