my first real vivid memory watching wrestling as a kid. i had been watching before that and i remember having all sorts of wrestling toys but i vividly remember the TIME, PLACE and FEELING of watching that match. i was still months away from being 5 years old.

i still occasionally go back and watch the promos leading up to it and i've watched the actual match itself from start to finish several times. to this day it is still my favorite match ever, and not just because of what it meant to me as a kid but because i truly believe it to be the absolute APEX of the wwf.

Who else was getting mainstream buzz at the time? Is that title reign really meaningful when cena vs Kane or cena vs Johnny ace or cena vs big show are getting top billing over his title run? Let's be real. They had no intention of ever even trying to push him as a genuine top guy.
