Post Some 2.5D Cover-Based Shooters

Bet mostly everyone on this forum dismissed it because it wasn’t AAA and didn’t even try it

Matterfall is far closer to the type of game OP is asking for. Those games aren’t similar at all

Honestly not a hero is great but it’s fairly unique with its cover based mechanics.

Theirs lot of shmups where you control ships,or top down twin stick shooters but I’m struggling to think of many 1:1 like experiences. Mega man games kind of a little bit but not really

The metal slug games are great and fun as hell. I’ll look around and see if I can find anymore

I once read that the game was inspired by some Atari game from the 70s.

I am not going to play some 50 year old Atari game lol.

I posted games relevant to the thread. Might as well say god of war is better. Cool,it has nothing to do with the thread and isn’t what OP is looking for. If you have nothing to contribute then don’t bother posting

I did some digging and apparently it's heavily inspired by a game from some old console from the late 70s/early 80s. There was another game on the SNES that used the same inspiration from that old console game but 'Not A Hero' is probably one of 5 games just like it unfortunately.

The game is one of my favourites of all time and nobody's heard of it.

Never heard of this.

... After checking it out it's not quite what I'm looking for. All I want is a 2.5D side scrolling shooter and if it isn't that I'm not gonna enjoy it.
