I was going for something like this but I recently cut my hair to start over. It just wasn't looking right but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I kept my hair clean, didn't comb it, and used a twist sponge for a while. The sponges that I had were cheap though, and they started shedding so I just used my brush and went in circles (similar to how you would use a sponge).
I also cut my own hair which may have been a part of the problem
You gotta accept that your hair will do it's own thing. Trust me breh it will work out..as long you maintaining well, you'll be fine.
