there isn't mid-level country singer money like there is for rap

luckily he has a name in music but his rap association could fukk him up long term for the general country audience

but tbh i made this all up so :yeshrug:

Nah because half the new country singers be rappin on the low...There was a thread a while back where you had cats like Luke Brian doing covers of California Love at concerts and talking about how big his rims are and shyt

A lot of country heads are complaining that the new stuff sounds too much like rap. The most popular traditional sounding country singer I can think of is Hootie (Darius Rucker) :heh:

He'll be fine if he stays in his lane, I'm just glad he's getting out of the way of actual up and comers now that he's got his shine.

If Nelly is smart he'll gon head and drop a country album too.

This is what most white artists do. Hip hop is quick easy money and gives more exposure so they can hop into acting or the genre of music they actually wanted to get into. Kinda surprised Machine Gun Kelly and Mac Miller have kept up the act for so long.

I don't think it's an act with them though, they love Hip Hop/ rap music as far as I can tell and make effort to improve at the craft.

Regardless of how much you like them they put in work...MGK in particular seems like rap was the only thing that dude could do with his life being from CLE. Post Malone ain't need this rap shyt, it was a hobby, he paid no dues or took it serious and still scored a hit after rappin for like 2 years after being some youtube comedian.

yeah i remember that thread and i agree

rhyming on bar in music has become a thing since at least the 80s

i wouldn't even say its so rap influenced, it's just how artists know how to make music

another reason to praise nirvana da gawds :wow:
