One of the few times I've seen a movie and specifically looked up the song to just play over again a few times. Really poignant closing how the lyrics reflect the thread of the film and the quick pans over each character's face in light of what just happened seconds earlier somehow sums up their entire narrative arc.

I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad.
That the dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had.

:wow:

Also I think pretty much the entire Forrest Gump soundtrack when I was a kid, all these old '60s and '70s songs I didn't know.

Hope they lower me to my grave to this song

For a little bit while I was living in Pomona area, I had a roommate who was in a band that played a fantastic cover of that song. They ended up making it big but I don't know if they ever covered it after they got signed, just when they were a little nothing band playing college parties and shyt.

Patti Labelle - If You Asked Me To (end of James Bond - Licence to Kill; Celine Dion later covered it)

Five Stairsteps - Ooh Child from the movie Boyz N Da Hood

Prince - Scandalous from the movie Batman (1989) - @1:20

Prince - Partyman, also from the movie Batman (1989)

Peabo Bryson & Regina Belle - A Whole New World - Aladdin (had to admit to myself I actually like a love song from a cartoon)
