Any of the Star Wars movies. I like them but I don't understand the hype for them. I'll watch in the theater but not on opening weekend and i'll watch if it comes on tv if I have nothing else to do or watch but I won't buy the dvd's/blue rays.

The Matrix
Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit films
Scarface

I wanna hear your take

It feels too much like a tv movie to me. I like the emotional core of it with Ethan and his wife but it just doesn't move me. It didn't move me when I saw it. Hoffman is a great villain but the movie is just kinda flat to me. It doesn't have the personality of the first or 4th or 5th or even the 2nd. I think the 2nd one is a terrible movie but its clearly a John Woo movie. The third one is just very meh to me. There's nothing compelling about the action or even the conflict. The 1st, 4th, and 5th movies don't have that issue

And I think that's an issue wth every JJ movie except Star Trek. He steps in the shoes of the people before him or in franchises and just copies what's been done with some of his own spin. With star trek, he was able to completely reinvent the wheel so it freed him up. That's not a knock on him even though it sounds like it, it's just something I've realized. His authorial voice comes through more as a producer than as a director

Mi:3 was a safe movie, that did it's job. cause mi:2 was :francis:. (4 and 5 were dope. 1 still my fave)
Same as force awakens, understandably safe and I'm not the least bit upset about it
