someone better than shapiro can certainly come along in the next 3 years i'm just not seeing him in the current field. imo. and yeah, he has flaws you can nitpick, but so will anyone

I like Beshear as a possibility since he has worked it out to do things more to the left in Kentucky of all places. There's a chance the state votes for the local person and the state electorates go blue. There's a small olive branch to flipping votes down south. He goes up to bat to defend his policies.

I'm with you on installed candidates. We don't need more styrofoam if you know what I mean. I do think Beshear comfortably clears most of the gaps, but admittedly I don't know as much about him as I'd like to.
