All of the African American community problems came to the UK. From Black on black violence, gangs, to unemployment to drugs etc etc.

In a way you're correct because black culture in America is very influential but i think blacks in the uk have always managed to branch off and create their own sub culture, one example being Grime.

Anyway Bashy black boys is proper old school, but glad to see it mentioned here because i believe it's up there when mentioning positive black uk music.

I agree with this tho, most people in the uk are highly impressionable and emulate the usa (but it's more like a fad). I also remember the days bare ppl were claiming colours and postcodes. Bare youngers were recently growing dreads cause of Chief Keef too.

Sounds like you're out the loop to be honest. Gang culture in London in the 90s and 00s are two completely different things. 00s was ten times worse, gun crime went up by 98% in 10yrs

The bolded is partly true I guess it depends on your background. I'd say Jamaicans were much more influential but I'm Jamaican myself. We use far more yard slang than US slang and it just sounds more natural. But you're talking about a phase that lasted about 2 years at the most(blood/crip thing). You're giving the US too much credit, channel u was far more damaging.

Again talk to those breddas who upped the crime rate in the 00's. Tell the mandem who got bun and the ones who caught the M charges it was all because of US gang culture and see what they tell you.
