My granma was into church heavy i remember her reading us bible passage and stuff when we was younger me and my cousin always find the end of the world stuff most interesting anyways i remember when they would talk about the antichrist they would always talk about the world going through like a really fukked up peroid first. Wars, ppl starving, a lot of natural disasters, the failing of the church ( on purpose) . Most leaders in the world were too incompetent to do anything and them just when ppl were losing all hope someone would appear who would be the leader of a powerful nation and would promise to help the rest of the world , catch would be the world would have to "unite" and be "one" with nobody else being more powerful than him and those that follow him (blasphemy) , of course people out of despair would follow. The world would actually go through a small peaceful period of a couple of years , shyt would look all good on the outside but in reality behind closed doors things would be even worse than before. A huge war would breakout and "god" will come again.

So this antichrist would appear to be just a normal person matter fact we woudl never know who it was until it was too late
