Brees was benched because he was playing poorly, not because of poor QB coaching. He was benched for Doug Flutie who played better. THEN they used their number one pick on Rivers....
but thanks to rivers being a dumbass and holding out, Brees was able to start the season and even went on to a PRO BOWL SEASON in 2004 WHILE shotty was there..... yes WHILE he was there....
he even played great in 2005 and ended up going to the pro bowl AGAIN..

two years in a row while schotty was QB coach he went to the pro bowl...
then schotty became the OC of NY

so stop making things up

I already said my piece on CP, and its completely overblown. He had a great season no doubt, but it had NOTHING to do with OC play...on his part. SHyt, if it wasn't for the wildcat being introduced that yea and blindsiding teams, they wouldn't have sniffed the playoffs....not to mention again...brady was out for that season.. How did he do the following season??? mmhmm Benched for Henne

and Favre?? tell me how he didn't lead that team to an 8-3 record before getting hurt.......tell me he didn't throw for over 20 tds in only 11 games

His following year, he has the best year of his career.

CP left here and was in the TOP 5 in MVP voting the next year.
