Yup, as African as can be . Same here with my grandfather, land and livestock. My grandmother was his first wife. She never had many problems because she was the first wife and they had to respect that. Even though, his wives had a sisterly bond, they would still fight amongst each other. My grandfather always had to resolve conflict between them. I loved him, but that's what he get for being greedy . Also, its awesome that my aunts and uncles love each other. That fact that they had different mothers didn't matter, they are all very supportive of each other. All 25 of them .

When grandpa passed my eldest uncle (from the 1st wife) paid for my dad's education upto his master's
Now my dad does the same for the other siblings.They all chip in to help.In the end they're all well-to-do
They have petty quarrels though it gets squashed quick.

Personally i prefer just one woman at a time.I dont have any beef with polygamy,though.If someone is poor,though,I would advise against it.
